The Modern Cafe

Outside of design, I have moderate experience working as a commercial cook, which led me to work at a lovely Nanaimo based restaurant named the Modern Cafe. The Modern, being one of the oldest restaurants in Nanaimo hadn’t had their menus updated for quite some time, so with the permission of the head chef and owner I redesigned the restaurants menus. Although we kept the menus the exact same size, the redesign allowed customers to navigate the menu with much more ease, whilst still embodying the heart of the restaurant through the use of typography and small graphic elements.
